Information Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, “BNP's ‘paid agents’ are spreading various kinds of rumors abroad, spreading various kinds of rumors in the Middle East. A few days ago there was a rumor that there was no money in the bank. For this, everyone rushed to withdraw money from the bank. These rumors are not against the government, BNP and their paid agents are spreading rumors against the state. But it does not benefit them. We are working to control rumors.”

He expressed so while responding to a question from journalists after a meeting with representatives of 'Confederation of Film, TV and Digital Media Professionals' at the Secretariat on Wednesday (October 4). Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General and Confederation President Sadek Siddiqui, General Secretary Md. Abu Zafar Apu, Iftekhar Ali and Salam Chowdhury were present in the meeting among the leaders.

At that time, Hasan Mahmud added saying "Begum Khaleda Zia should have been in jail, not outside." Even though she was a convicted, convicted defendant, the Prime Minister suspended her sentence and allowed him to stay out. If Begum Khaleda Zia was in power, she would not have shown magnanimity towards the public leader Sheikh Hasina. Where, Khaleda Zia  did not open the door for people's leader Sheikh Hasina after standing in front of her house, where she cut the cake even though August 15 was not her birthday, where she joked about it after the grenade attack in 2004, it is very clear that Begum Zia did not show this kind of sympathy. ''

He said, 'Begum Zia's family members meet her regularly, communicate with her and her party leaders also visit her. This is a great magnanimity of public leader Sheikh Hasina. BNP leaders including Mirza Fakhrul need to thank Sheikh Hasina. They do not realize that the greatness of the Prime Minister has been shown. If the arrangement to keep him outside is cancelled, then perhaps they will realize how much magnanimity Sheikh Hasina has shown for Begum Zia.'

Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General Sadeq Siddiqui said, 'There is a conspiracy going on in the country. Attempts are being made to disrupt the country's democracy and create chaos. If anyone conspires against the country, this confederation will stand against them and play a supportive role in continuing the development progress in the country under the leadership of leader Sheikh Hasina.

At the meeting, Sadiq Siddiqui handed over a letter containing nine-point demands to the minister on behalf of the confederation. The minister assured to take into consideration the demands of FDC's camera and light rental rates as per the current market, inclusion of representatives of the confederation in various committees including the censor board, inclusion of production in national awards, inclusion of light designers, and smooth movement of vehicles of the shooting unit.
